Claws Are Out Between Bonang Matheba and Jeannie D

IN FRONT of the screens it’s all about the glitz and glamour but behind the scenes, claws are out.

Barely a year after Mzansi’s IT girl Bonang Matheba joined Top Billing, there’s drama.

A little bird told Sunday Sun that things are tough. Backstage, it’s nothing but drama.

A source close to the situation said Jeannie D and “Yo Girl B” don’t breathe the same air.

The source said it’s a battle of the beauties.

Ever since Bonang joined Top Billing , said the source, things have not been the same.

“Before Bonang joined the show, Jeannie D was the main girl and the focus was on her.

“But after Bonang arrived, Jeannie D’s ground was shaken. She was the youngest and the hottest. Suddenly all eyes were on Bonang,” the source said.

Bonang gets the best international trips, like to Paris Fashion Week, London, etc. The source said the two ladies are fighting over the spotlight.

Who will win this battle?

It seems Bonang is winning because she has more endorsements.

“Well, Jeannie D just launched her perfume range and she’s also the Cell C ambassador,” said the source.

“But Bonang has the ultimate – she is the face of the giant beauty brand Revlon. She has the black market and is now going for the white market. She has done major TV so there’s no room for competition.”

Another source said that the two don’t even talk or greet on set, although they put up a show in public.

Sylvester Chauke, Bonang’s manager, said: “They are good friends. If you check on Instagram they always compliment each other.

“They never work together, they shoot separately, but they are actually good friends.

“We find this rumour grossly misleading and completely misjudging.”

Jeannie D was not available for comment. Sunday Sun was told that she’s out of the country. – Sunday Sun
